Exporting with an alpha channel requires both a format that can carry transparency and the option to write the alpha data. Some common codecs like H.264 don’t support alpha, so exporting with alpha while using those would not produce transparency. The correct approach is to pick a codec/container that supports alpha, such as QuickTime with ProRes 4444 or a PNG/EXR sequence, and then enable the export of the alpha channel in the Deliver page. This combination writes the transparency information alongside the image data, giving you a file that can be composited over other footage. Exporting only audio or disabling video export won’t produce a video with transparency, so they don’t meet the goal.
